September has been a Mighty busy month! As well as our regular saturday cooking club, we’ve enjoyed partying with several birthday girls and boys and their party guests, got creative with little ones and their parents / carers whilst working in partnership with Menston and Burley childrens centre, and had a super fun time cooking with the boys at St John’s Beavers, Menston.
The beginning of the month saw 18 budding chefs enjoy the English picnic session of our Cook Your Way Around The World, Saturday cooking club. Whilst the children got to work inside making delicious sausage rolls, fruit scones and fruit compote, outside it was pouring rain so definitely in keeping with the English theme!
On Thursday 25th September Mighty Chefs helped over 50 children to make Mighty Pizzas. Starting the day with the mini Mighty Chefs at The St Hugh’s Centre in Baildon, and ending it with an evening session at St John’s Beavers, Menston. It was great to meet some new faces, and also cook again with some children who have enjoyed cooking with Mighty Chefs in the past.
